Our HiveGrad program goes beyond traditional legal training. We offer our graduates a unique blend of legal, business, and innovation skills. Over the years, we’ve crafted this program to not only build strong legal and technical capabilities but also foster the development of your business acumen and innovative thinking.

During the program, you’ll have access to outstanding lawyers with deep experience in different areas and industries who will provide invaluable mentorship and guidance. You will have the opportunity to work within many of these teams across the firm, gaining firsthand insight into how our business operates. This rotational structure allows you to develop a comprehensive understanding of the legal ecosystem and, in particular, how law firms can be run using a purpose-driven, human-centred approach, just like we do.

What we're looking for

To become a HiveGrad, we're looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the legal industry and carry unique skillsets, including but not limited to:

Excellent communication and organisation skills

You have the skills to convey legal concepts and complex information both written and verbally, ensuring full comprehension for our clients and our team. You can manage multiple tasks, maintain detailed records, and meet deadlines efficiently.

The ability to work collaboratively

Collaboration is a key part of the Hive Legal business model. Our ideal HiveGrad candidate enjoys working with our clients and the broader team, sharing information, solving challenges, and contributing to our collective goals.

Strong technical legal research and drafting abilities

You know how to conduct thorough legal research using various databases, critically analyse findings, and draft precise legal documents. Attention to detail and the ability to synthesise complex information into clear arguments are essential for effective outcomes.

Creative and innovative thinking

We celebrate "outside the box" thinking at Hive Legal. The ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to legal challenges and adapt to an evolving legal landscape is a big plus.

Tech savvy

Harnessing digital technologies is a crucial part of our business for streamlining legal processes and improving efficiencies for our team and our clients. Proficiency in technology is highly sought after in our graduates.
