Years of internal changes by the nation’s leading law firms have failed to make any impact on the number of women becoming equity partners. Women still make up only 17.4 per cent of equity partners, according to The Australian’s partnership survey undertaken by Beaton Research + Consulting, slightly lower than the 17.5 per cent recorded at this time last year.
