We are delighted to announce that from 1 July 2016 Jeremy Snow and Andrew Brookes are Principals of Hive Legal.
When we founded Hive Legal one of our aims was to build a firm that would attract highly talented lawyers who could thrive in an environment that provides a contemporary way of working, innovative thinking and a focus on value rather than time spent. In the 2 years since Jeremy and Andrew joined us from large top tier law firms they have embraced Hive Legal’s approach, bringing the benefits to clients and building thriving practices which include many A – list Australian corporates.
They work with clients in fast changing sectors and have found that the NewLaw model is well suited to delivering legal services to those clients who are looking to their lawyers to be agile, innovative and thinking ahead to find more efficient ways to work together.
Jeremy Snow assists clients with complex contracting arrangements and strategic projects (often involving technology), with particular expertise in the IT, Health, Energy, Telco and Financial Services sectors.
Andrew Brookes specialises in energy including electricity and gas (retail, wholesale and network/transportation), renewable energy, carbon markets and emerging energy technologies. He acts for many key players and new entrants in the sector and draws on his experience in energy policy gained both domestically and internationally (having previously served as a legislative fellow for energy policy in the Washington DC office of a senior US senator).
We are also thrilled to announce that we have promoted Joanna Green to Associate Principal, Mira Lutfi to Senior Associate and Rohila Rahimi to Associate.
Joanna Green has extensive experience advising private and public sector clients on commercial, regulatory, competition and consumer law issues. She has specialist experience and interest in the health and public transport industries. Joanna’s experience and approach was recently recognised when she was named a finalist in the 2015 Lawyers Weekly Senior Associate of Year Awards.
Mira Lutfi advises private and public sector clients on commercial, regulatory, competition and consumer law issues. She has significant in-house experience, providing commercial advice to enable clients to meet strategic and operational goals in a practical and efficient manner. Mira regularly advises numerous health and telecommunications sector clients.
Rohila Rahimi is a commercial lawyer, with experience in private and public mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and general corporate advisory. She draws on her considerable international experience which includes working in an international law firm and on secondment.
