Hive Legal is a purpose driven corporate and commercial firm designed to improve the experience for our team and our clients. Our highly regarded Energy and Climate Change team continues to expand, and we are seeking two new additions to join our team.

The team is led by accomplished Principals, Andrew Brookes and Mitzi Gilligan. Who are we looking for?

Lawyers, ideally at 3 – 7 years PQE who: 

  • are interested in working on energy and climate change matters;
  • enjoy technically challenging work;
  • have good general commercial skills and experience in handling commercial contracts;
  • have regulatory experience or a willingness to learn the energy regulatory landscape; and
  • fit within our diverse, inclusive and collaborative culture.

Experience in the energy sector or in carbon markets will be well regarded but is not essential. Lawyers who have experience in areas other than the energy and climate change sector are encouraged to apply if they meet the above criteria. 

This position is Australia wide and you do not need to be located in Melbourne.

  • Criminal and identity verification: If you proceed to the final round of interviews, you will be required to obtain a National Police Check through Victoria Police or an alternative provider before any employment offer is made.   • Educational/qualification verification: If you have less than three years PQE, you are required to upload official documentation from your educational institution confirming your educational qualifications.
  • Practising certificate: If successful, you will be required to provide us with your current practicing certificate. This needs to also show whether it is restricted or unrestricted, if applicable.
