On 1 March 2018, Principals, Peter Monk and Simon Davidson will be leaving Hive. Hive will continue to offer Corporate/ M&A services especially in the areas where we have highly specialised sector expertise including Energy, Technology, Health, Government, Financial Services and Public Transport.
We are delighted to announce the promotion of Rohila Rahimi and Danielle McCluskey as Senior Associates. Rohila joined us 2 years ago from DLA Piper and has excelled as a client focused and technically skilled corporate lawyer. She was recently recognised in Legal 500, an amazing accolade for a lawyer of her years. Danielle joined us mid-way through last year to further increase the depth of our Commercial/IT practice. She has received top tier training at Minter Ellison and has also had in house experience, which leads to her pragmatic and commercial approach to solving clients’ legal problems. Clients love her keen eye for risk and calm attitude.
Hive continues to be recognised for its innovation agenda. We were finalists for the 2017 Janders Dean Innovation Index and NewLaw Firm of the Year (2017 Australian Law Awards). We have embraced Design Thinking for identifying and bringing to life innovative ideas by developing our own framework, HiveThinkP. The Centre for Legal Innovation recently described us as ‘leaders in the new law space’ and ‘a guiding light for the profession again with its innovative thinking and initiatives in this area’.
